Climate in the Pulpits

This Fall, through Interfaith Power & Light (DC.MD.NoVA), we invite congregations across the region to lift up climate change, environmental justice, and the chance for all our voices to be heard. Our theme is My Vote is Hope in Action, because participating in our elections is how we can love our neighbors and care for our common home. Congregations can participate through sermons, education, civic engagement events, Souls to the Polls, voting festivals, and other learning programs.
Sign up your congregation below to receive ready-to-use resources, including bulletin inserts, posters, and election information.
DC and Maryland Congregations
This fall, faith communities will invite congregants to learn, act, and speak out for an end to burning methane gas in our homes and communities– for the sake of all that has breath.
Virginia Congregations
Faith communities across Virginia will reflect on the theme “Resilience: Cultivating Peace with Nature” by inviting their communities to pray, act, and vote for the common good. It is time to pick one another up, and as people of faith, prioritize our tradition’s religious teachings to care for the earth and along with our neighbors.
